Bitcoin-Native Privacy
Sats4Safari uses the Lightning Network for payments, which provides inherent privacy benefits. We never see your wallet balance, transaction history, or private keys. Payment invoices are generated per-booking and expire after use.
Information We Collect
- Account information: email address, name, and password (hashed).
- Nostr public key generated during registration for identity verification.
- Booking information: tour selections, dates, and payment confirmation hashes.
- Usage data: pages visited, browser type, and device information for analytics.
- We do NOT store Lightning Network private keys or wallet balances.
How We Use Your Information
- Process tour bookings and facilitate Lightning Network payments.
- Communicate booking confirmations and updates via email.
- Improve our platform and user experience through anonymized analytics.
- Verify guide identities through our KYC process.
- Calculate and distribute Sats-Back rewards for reviews.
Data Protection
- Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms via Better Auth.
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption.
- Database hosted on Neon.tech with enterprise-grade security.
- Nostr private keys are NEVER stored on our servers—only on your device.
- Payment data uses Lightning Network's built-in privacy features.
Third-Party Services
- Blink.sv: Lightning Network payment processing (invoice generation only).
- Vercel: Application hosting and image storage.
- Neon.tech: PostgreSQL database hosting.
- Resend: Transactional email delivery.
- We do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.
